App Story Review

Recently, my interest in minimalism and decluttering led me to track my belongings and refrain from unnecessary purchases. Over time, I discovered the rewarding experience of maximizing the value of the items I own. One crucial aspect of this journey is assessing whether an item is worth its cost and determining its average daily expense.

For instance, after purchasing a new MacBook M1 in 2022, I eagerly began documenting it in Komono. Observing how my average cost per day decreases has made my investment feel worthwhile. Similarly, my first-generation Kindle Oasis, which I acquired on April 30, 2016, has served me for over seven years with only one battery replacement. Its average daily cost is a mere $0.13, validating its value given the numerous books I've read using it.

I am not particularly focused on storage, as I believe that possessing fewer items negates the need for extensive storage solutions. Consequently, I designed an app solely focused on managing items without the clutter of storage features. However, Komono offers an unlimited tags feature for those who prefer categorization for their items.

Having been released for over two years and receiving 48 updates, Komono has shown consistent engagement and development. The app is ad-free, contributing to a more pleasant user experience.
